UIHJ Eurodanube

EURODANUBE is one of the three Euro organizations created within the frames of the International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ). The other two organizations are: EUROMED - comprising European and African countries around the Mediterranean sea; EURONORD - with Western and Northern European countries. Those three organization were founded in order to enhance and strengthen the work of International Union of Judicial Officers, that already has 65 members or associated organizations via co-operation agreements.

The EURODANUBE organization associates states located around the Danube, meaning belonging to Central and Eastern Europe, including the Baltic States.
The organization associates: Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
The organization acts on the basis of the EURODANUBE Charter, signed by the representatives of the states listed above (except Hungary), in May 2007 in Bucharest during the Permanent Council of the UIHJ. It was there, in Bucharest, where Mr. Micha³ Redelbach, Vice-president of the National Council of Judicial Officers in Poland, proposed organization of the first official meeting of the EURODANUBE members.
The meeting took place in Sopot, Poland, in the seat of the Regional Chamber of Judicial Officers in Gdañsk, from 27 to 28 September 2007. The participants of the meeting were: Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

EURODANUBE does not have any autonomy and remains placed under the authority and the direct administration of the board of the UIHJ. It was founded to support the International Union of Judicial Officers and to make information exchange more effective.

The object of UIHJ - EURODANUBE group is to promote a bringing together between the judicial officers of the concerned States, to support a reinforcement of their economic bonds and to give an increased effectiveness in the management of their activities. Charter UIHJ - EURODANUBE was established within UIHJ. Adrien Stoica, judicial officer from Romania, was appointed by the UIHJ to coordinate and prepare the project. The head office of EURODANUBE is located at the head office of the UIHJ to emphasize that EURODANUBE is not a separate organization and was founded within UIHJ, which still controls and coordinates EURODANUBE activity.
