Continental Attack Motorcycle Tires

Continental ContiRoad Attack 2 — Motorcycle Reviews, News, Blog

Great tire I have these on a heavily modded 2004 GSXR 750. These replaced a worn out pair of Pilot Powers. I must say the grip and handling is vastly better with these tires in comparison. They also tip quite a bit quicker than the pilots. I was skeptical at first, but there is no need to break these tires in, I was wide open in some of my favorite corners just a few miles after putting these on and had so much confidence in their grip that I pushed harder than usual. As the for tread pattern it is unique, looks great, and works very well in water. Tread life - After half a season of riding, these tires will still leave your hand black after touching them. The rubber is very soft. This being said, the tire actually holds up quite well with highway mileage in the center. I commute on this bike (44 miles a day) and in half a season the wear was actually surprisingly minimal for how soft the tires are. Choosing a tire - I was concerned when I purchased a sports tire because a lot of times people actually decrease their grip buying sports tires due to the fact that they do not ride hard enough to warm the rubber up. This being said as long as it is warm out I always felt I had great traction, the only time where I did notice it was late fall when I was commuting in 40 degree weather. The first few minutes was like skating...this is quite a difference in contrast to the warm summer days when I would hope on my bike and think I had a flat front tire at low speeds because of how grippy the tires were. Over all these are great tires and I couldn't recommend them more for a sports bike. If you ride a touring bike I would recommend the road attack(same tire, just little harder rubber which won't disappear under your heavier bike). March 5, 2013

Best tires for 4 seasons driving I have them stock on my s1000rr, but first gen. After than i bought Pirelli SuperCorsa SP. Pirelli is nice, but in cold conditions as well as in hot summer - this is best. And the tread life, first gen i used 10000 kms. Pirelli died at 5k km. Hope this second gen will last as first :) November 12, 2012

awesome tire i admit i was skeptical about a tire that claims no release agent was used, but the guys at Conti build em right. I usually run the sport attacks on my 919, when the 2's came out i went for it. Awesome grip right from the start. I had to buy the C180-55 and spent 200 large to do it, totally worth it. Need to buy cheap bike. have no clue

Ill be going into the military in 3 months and im looking to buy a bike that is good for exercise and park trails. i have no clue on what to buy because ive personally never bought a bike. there is no way in hell im paying over $200 for a small piece of aluminum with wheels. i dont understand these bikes going for $500+. personally id buy a motorcycle if i had that kind of cash.
im 6 foot 4 so the bike needs to be larger. a hybrid mountain/road would be nice. meaning i want shock coils but not huge fat tires and a super heavy mountain bike. help would be much appreciated.

For what it's worth...

For those of you interested, here is the e-mail I sent Phil Williams (he's very responsive), and underneath I will post the reply I had from him (yes I asked his permission to post it).
My e-mail to him:
While in office, one of the things I hope you could change is the State's stance on obesity, fuel conservation, and cheap transport for the citizens of Alabama. One of the things that stands in the way of all of the above is Alabama's laws concerning motor assisted bicycles which defines any modification to a bicycle such that it is powered by something other than human power to be a motorcycle and thereby subject to all the laws of a motorcycle (turn signals, obtaining a VIN, DOT approved tires, license, etc)
